Cookie Statement
We have built pretrain.com to set as few cookies as possible. By default, the site sets no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, and connects to no third party, until you actively choose to.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage let a site keep small amounts of data on your device. They can be strictly necessary (needed for the site to function), functional (remember choices), or used for analytics and tracking.
What we set by default
On entry, pretrain.com sets essentially no non-essential cookies. We load no analytics, advertising or social-tracking scripts when the page opens. Our fonts are self-hosted, so opening the site sets no Google cookies and sends no data to Google. Any strictly-necessary cookies are limited to what is required for the page to load and stay secure.
Cookies that load only when you act
Calendly scheduler
The embedded scheduler from Calendly (United States) loads only when you click "Load scheduler". Clicking is your consent: doing so connects you to Calendly and lets it set its cookies (including those of its analytics partners) so the scheduler can run. Until you click, no Calendly cookies are set and no data goes to Calendly. Calendly is certified under the EU‑U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If you prefer, you can use a plain "Book a call" link instead, which takes you directly to calendly.com.
Demo map (atlas.pretrain.com)
Our homepage shows a live company-map demo in an iframe from atlas.pretrain.com — our own subdomain. It loads when you scroll to it and is functional only; it does not track you across other sites.
Hosting (Vercel)
Our hosting provider Vercel may collect cookieless visitor analytics. This does not use tracking cookies and does not follow you across sites.
Why there is no cookie banner
Because we set no tracking cookies on entry and load no non-essential third parties until you choose to, no consent banner is legally required. This is by design — a deliberate choice for data minimisation, which the Dutch supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) prefers.
How to control cookies and withdraw consent
- You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser help pages explain how.
- To withdraw consent for the scheduler, simply do not click "Load scheduler", and clear any cookies it set via your browser.
Blocking cookies may stop the scheduler from working, but the rest of the site will function normally.
